The following GeoFurnace geothermal heat pumps are designed to produce heating outputs for the harsh northern climates. GeoFurnace heat pumps provide the maximum amount of heating production available in the industry for heating dominated climates. Other heat pumps are designed for climates that are cooling dominant.

GeoFurnace is a true built heat pump for the northern climates, the rest cover the cooling loads and pacify the heat demand by adding large electric resistance heat strips. The end result is higher utility bills for the consumer. When comparing heating outputs at cold earth loop temperatures, GeoFurnace comes out the winner at the least cost per heating Btu output.

Sales people can pump up COP's and EER's all at different earth loop temperatures and first stage compressor speed, but at the end of the day, the basics of physics still rule.

MTMTex Series - FORCED AIR

boxThis is a single stage water to air heat pump that provides an economical choice for the heating and cooling loads of any residential or commercial building. This model is available in vertical or horizontal configuration in sizes form 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 ton sizes.

The 8, 10 and 12 ton sizes utilize dual refrigerant circuits and are ideal for large homes, churches and commercial buildings. These units are available in vertical configuration only.

MTex Series - FORCED AIR SPECIAL

boxThis is a two stage water to air heat pump that provides a more economical choice for providing the heating and cooling loads of any residential or commercial building. Higher COP and EER efficiencies at lower Btu outputs are gained by ultimately allowing the compressor to start and run at 66% of its capacity. Utilizing less energy, in either heating and/or cooling. When the need for more heating or cooling is requested by the thermostat, the compressor closes the internal ports that have allowed refrigerant to bi-pass in the first stage changing to second stage. In this mode the COP and EER ratings decrease to levels of single stage equipment. The greatest advantage of this series allows the consumer to cover both heating and cooling loads of their structure with less resistance electric heat. This model is available in vertical or horizontal configuration in sizes form 2, 3, 4, and 5 ton sizes.

Mtex Series - COMBO

boxThis is a single stage water to air and water to water heat pump all in one cabinet that provides an economical choice for a building with forced air and radiant floor needs. The combo heat pump will cover the heating and cooling loads of any residential or commercial building plus much more. This unit is not just limited to radiant floors. The combo can be ordered with a double wall coaxial heat exchanger that can be used for full time domestic hot water heating (DHW). If a flat plate heat exchanger is ordered with the unit, it can also be used for heating a swimming pool. The combo is not limited, it is also available with three functions if requested. The combo is available in vertical or horizontal configuration form 1 ton to 6 ton sizes.

Mtex Series - H20

boxThis is a single stage water to water heat pump that provides an economical choice for the heating and cooling loads of any residential or commercial building through the production of 115F hydronic water for heating and 40F water for cooling. The water to water heat pump has been the work horse of the industry. This model is available in a standard cabinet in sizes form 1 ton to 6 ton.

Mtex Series Double H20

boxThis is a double single stage compressor water to water heat pump that provides an economical choice for very large heating and cooling loads of any residential or commercial building through the production of hydronic water. This model of heat pumps has two separate refrigeration systems within one cabinet allowing staging of the heat pump. It is the most reliable model of heat pumps, and has been used for heating radiant floors and cooling through hydronic fan coils for years. The unit is vestal in all designs and because of the compact design can be stacked to unlimited loads. It is the most forgiving in inadequate designs of large systems. All water to water heat pumps need to be matted with a primary circuit with a buffer tank that provides adequate porting size for good flow with low velocity. This model is available in a standard cabinet in sizes form 8 ton to 30 ton.

MTex Hydronic Fan Coils (HFC)

boxThe hydronic fan coils are designed to work with the water heat pumps to provide heating and cooling. One is able to change outputs with more variables than a DX heat pump. Heating and cooling outputs can be changed by water temps, water pumping speeds, and blower speed. This model is available in a standard cabinet in 3 and 6 tons.

MTex Split

boxThe Split is the condensing unit if the heat pump. Inside the cabinet is the compressor, water coil, TX and electrical controls of the heat pump. The specially trained installing contractor connects the split by a line set to a coil placed on top of an existing furnace or electric air handler for dual fuel applications. This system makes a very economical system for those areas that require a dual fuel system to qualify for programs and rebates. The Split comes in 2, 3, 4, and 5 ton sizes.
