Michael Hunt, founder and principal of GeoFurnace Manufacturing Inc.
Michael Hunt has been involved in the Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) industry since 1983 when he installed his first GSHP system. Mr. Hunt is accredited by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), as an installer and installation trainer. He spent over 15 years as a HVAC contractor installing GSHP systems prior to his second career as a Geothermal Engineer.
His residential and commercial experience includes; heat load analysis, loop field design, thermal conductivity testing, and field installations. His system designs have included forced air, radiant, snow melt, pool dehumidification, domestic hot water and industrial process water applications. Mr. Hunt's expertise is often used to resolve heat pump and system imperfections, independent peer review of other system designs, design validation and commissioning.
Mr.
Hunt has designed, consulted, installed and assisted in heat pump projects
throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. In addition, Mr.
Hunt has introduced proper GSHP's installation and design to over 700
contractors and engineers throughout North America.
